The Institute of Justice is composed of two strands: the Legal Studies Academy and the Law Enforcement Academy. The Legal Studies Academy is a three year program with an emphasis on legal education; while the Law Enforcement Academy, also a three year program, provides an overview of Criminal Justice System. The Institute’s faculty is committed to providing students with a rigorous and engaging education in all academic areas. Through a series of electives our students will gain an understanding of the American Legal system and explore a wide range of career-related opportunities. The Institute’s students will also have the opportunity of taking College Board AP courses in World History and Government and two Syracuse University Project Advance courses, Public Policy and American History and participate in Moot Court, Mock Trial and internships.
